bedroom part 1 epic fail.

This is long story.

Me have problem 3, errr no 4, no 5 issues with bedroom.
1 Bedroom is small and narrow.
2 Me not rich. But me have expensive taste.
3 NO closet! For reason unknown closet in living room. Me use instead take doors off and use as art suplile and office area.
4 . Me have old Irish dresser brought to the new world by great great grandmother on boat and it kind of art deco, but more tward being Nouveau. Me grandmother had and she painted it avocado during 60`s. Fer shame grandma! How make this work, question mark. See problem 2.  Me no sell. Me stuck with.
 5 like most walls in apt bedroom is painted over wall paper. But under these walls large and many cracks.

Solution to 5 is: learn to live with painted over wall paper. me can`t fix that kind of damage me think only way is to tear it all down and re-plaster or drywall.

1 me have played around with what to fit where.  Means me have to get rid of some furniture me like a lot. Me still have to get rid of a trunk. One dresser me kept the drawers and put under bed as under storage.

2 Before I had loft so me no have box-spring or bedframe, so me bought cheapest ikea bed on frame on sale! It ugly. Me hack so bed now more simple frame. But long time I didn`t have saw to take off extra ends.

Also use room divider as bedhead and make ``art`` on it. This is in early days. Yuck!! No where did the default wall colour bother me more.

3 me have tried all kinds of things to stay cheap and deal with no closets. Open Close rack look, FAIL! Put close rack behind bedhead to make closet FAIL! use hallway closet fail-ish. Hang most often used clothes behind door, errrmmmmm. . . . . . Okay Me give up. Me going to ikea again and buy wardrobe. me thought about finding vintage wardrobe but most ugly and or impractical.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. This have not done yet.

4 paint it yellow. this time me not sand. Me worried about lead and sick of using stripper. Just primed and used a new product, water soluble oil. maybe cause Me didn`t sand, but me find not very durable.
Also not practical for people using in apartments. But looks nice.

5 Me paint walls not once but twice. First time me love colour and had vision of colour scheme. But then me looked at issue 2 (budget) and realised that either buying and or making things in those colours was going to be expensive and hard me  paint again. The number one bedroom colour is blue. So easy to find bedding to match on sale.
Me not wanting to buy more paint took left over paint from hallway and kitchen and made me own colour with a stir stick. It`s nice, but me think maybe paint again this time purple.

 So still not finished, the bedhead. and still playing around with arrangements. But you see  me painted bed-frame.

Handle is broken, but it`s wabi sabi.
Getting wardrobe is going to change the way rest of the room works.

Where Me GO

Me stop making art paint. This is truth.
Me put all creative energies into paint walls and furniture.
 Bathroom (before) I move in.


















Me put up texture wall a paper in bathroom and take down as not work as good as hope. So I fix cracks, but really only better if tear down walls and put up tile. Me only rent so fuck that.

 Too damaged so repair patch at best. Then put up wall paper again and paint.

After! Me pick orange cause I like.

Also bathroom have no real storage. So me thought real hard and for value and look put up floating shelfs. But the size me need over toilet only comes in black, so me once again sand, prime and spray paint. Other smaller ones from ikea. Ones me paint from Canadian tire. This turn okay, me need work on spray paint technique. Next time work slower, and more layers. But me do this outside winter in Canada past mid-night. Me was in rush to go back inside.
Me want to replace floor. Spring, maybe, kitchen floor first.







Me also paint living room and hallway and then there is the long on going story of the bedroom.
